Email From Mark Harris on 06/01/2016:

In regards to the HANA sizing for BW I would like to delete the PSA and Change logs. I’ve heard standards from 1 day to 3 months, but I know we have much more than that. I suggest we go with 1 week of logs/PSAs. Can you guys let me know if you have any comments on this? If so we can have a call tomorrow, if not please let me know when this can be done and when the HANA sizing can be completed after deletion.

BPD, BPQ & BPP:

1. Need to delete the PSAs and Change Log tables and run the HANA sizing report (/SDF/HANA_BW_SIZING).
2. Need to fetch statistics after deletion of PSA requests & Change Log tables by keeping one month of data.
3. The following is the List of data sources and change log tables in BPP:

NED & NEQ:

1. Need to run HANA sizing Report '/SDF/HDB_SIZING' by applying necessary parameters.
2. Need to fetch the HANA sizing statistics by running above program in NED & NEQ.

Resolution

1. Need to delete PSAs and Change Log tables by keeping last one month data in BPP.
2. Need to run the HANA sizing report and fetch statistics in BPP .
3. The following attachments are the results after running HANA sizing report:
HANA_SIZING after deletion of PSA & Changelogs except 1month.htm
HANA_SIZING after deletion of PSA & Chnagelogs except 1month.txt

NED & NEQ:

1. Need to run HANA sizing report '/SDF/HDB_SIZING' by applying necessary parameters.
2. Need to fetch the HANA sizing statistics by running above program in NED & NEQ as a background job.
